Both bodies are a firm sawdust-and-peat ball with googly eyes, a red bead nose and a scalloped saucer — no pot, no soil, no repotting.

What you get

• 1–5 dolls, about 4 in / 10 cm tall, pre-sown and ready to soak.
• Teal or blue butterfly pin, googly eyes and a red bead nose, as shown.
• Scalloped white saucer with each doll — shallow enough to bottom-water without rotting the seed.

How to grow them

• Soak 8–12 hours. The head roughly doubles in weight; that is the water the seeds germinate on.
• Water: keep the saucer shallow-filled and mist the crown twice a day for the first week.
• Light: bright indirect, 4–6 hours. Too little light and the blades come up pale and thin.
• Results: sprouts in 5–7 days, a full head at 2–3 weeks, flowers on the bloom head from about week 5.
