Rose Heart Desert Rose Bulbs

Adenium obesum — Rose Heart. Every bloom carries a target: petals that open white-pink at the edge and deepen to a crimson heart at the centre, so the flower looks stamped. It is a subtle effect from a distance and a striking one up close, and the mature specimen caudex in the photo is the shape these plants grow into after a couple of seasons. A lovely, easy red-centred pink for shelves and sunny sills.

How to start it

• Pot: free-draining mix — 50% cactus soil, 30% pumice, 20% coarse sand — in a pot with a drainage hole.
• Water: dry for the first 7 days, then soak-and-dry cycles.
• Light: 6+ hours; the crimson heart deepens with sun.
• Cold: USDA 10–12 outdoors; elsewhere above 50°F / 10°C.

The heart reads darker on cool mornings and softer in peak heat — normal, not a fault. Ships dormant and bare-root, wrapped in dry sphagnum. 5–7 working days to dispatch, 8–25 working days in transit.
