Mint Picotee Desert Rose Bulbs
$16.44 – $49.32Price range: $16.44 through $49.32
Adenium obesum with genuine green picotee: mint-edged white petals over a thick multi-branch caudex. The conversation piece of the collection.
Adenium obesum — Mint Picotee. Green flowers barely exist in garden plants, which is what makes this variety stop people mid-sentence: white rose-form doubles whose petal edges carry a clean mint-green picotee, over a thick multi-branch caudex that already looks ten years old. It grows more compact than most, so it holds its shape in a 6 in pot on a bright sill or a covered patio.
What you get
- Dormant bare-root caudex with a thick multi-branch base, visible eyes and intact roots.
- Flowers the first season once nights stay above 60°F / 15°C.
- One plant per bulb ordered — each caudex is an individual.
How to start it
- Pot: terracotta, one size up from the root ball. 50% cactus soil, 30% pumice, 20% coarse sand.
- Water: none for the first 7 days, then soak-and-dry. Overwatering shows on this one faster than most.
- Light: 6+ hours of sun; the mint edge deepens with light.
- Cold: USDA 10–12 outdoors; elsewhere keep above 50°F / 10°C and dry in winter.
The green rim is strongest on spring blooms and softens in peak summer heat — worth knowing before you think it faded. Ships dormant and bare-root, wrapped in dry sphagnum. 5–7 working days to dispatch, 8–25 working days in transit.
