Grow-Your-Own Gift Pair — Bloom Crown & Grass Mop, Two Saucers

Buying one grass head and then wondering about the other. The pair settles it. Left, a doll whose hair has already become a dense crown of orange, pink and yellow dianthus, a teal sequin butterfly at the collar. Right, the same body grown for grass alone: a tall mop, a royal-blue butterfly, a white saucer under it. Same routine, two different payoffs, and the difference is visible from week one.

What you get

• One doll per piece ordered, about 4 in / 10 cm tall, pre-sown with the bloom mix or rye grass.
• Sequin butterfly at the collar — teal on the bloom head, royal blue on the grass head.
• White drip saucer with each doll.

How to grow the pair

• Soak both 8–12 hours in the same bowl — one soak, two heads.
• Water from the saucer, 1 cm deep, topped up daily. Never pour over the head.
• Light: 4–6 hours bright, indirect. Put the grass head nearer the window; it stretches for light faster than the bloom head.
• Grass head: full mop in about three weeks. Cut flat, or gather and band it.
• Bloom head: green first, colour from about week 5. Deadhead weekly or the crown goes to seed.

Both dolls are pre-sown and unwatered, so they arrive bald — the flowers in the photo are what week five looks like. Non-toxic seed and filling, no loose soil, safe around children and cats. Ships in 5–7 working days, 8–25 working days in transit.
