Rainbow Clip Grass Head Dolls — Five Tufts, Flower Clips, Whiskers

Actual hair styling, in miniature. The grass is divided into five skinny tufts and each is clamped shut with a plastic flower clip — yellow, pale pink, hot pink, grey, green. Big stitched lashes, red nose, and loose strands hanging over the face like a fringe that lost an argument. The second doll is the same idea with three tufts, a grey clip and a green butterfly clip, plus whiskers drawn across the cheeks and a yellow butterfly at the collar.

What you get

• One doll per piece ordered, about 4 in / 10 cm tall, filled and pre-sown with rye grass.
• Five coloured flower clips (yellow, pink, hot pink, grey, green) with the five-tuft style; two or three with the whiskered style.
• Butterfly pin and a saucer per doll.

How to grow them

• Soak 8–12 hours, then keep the saucer shallow-filled.
• Mist daily, twice in the first week. Clipped tufts dry at the tips first.
• Light: 4–6 hours. You need strong, straight growth to clip five separate tufts.
• At 3 in: comb the grass upright with your fingers, split into five, clamp each tuft just above the head. Move the clips up as it grows.
• Trim the tuft ends level so the clips sit at the same height.
