Peony Blush Desert Rose Bulbs

Adenium obesum — Peony Blush. A single-form flower, which in adenium does not mean plain: each petal spreads wide and flat like a peony, pale pink at the edge and deepening to a rose-pink swirl in the middle. Because the flowers open flat rather than staying cupped, this is the variety that looks biggest from a distance — and the one that shows the pale yellow throat.

What you get

• Dormant bare-root caudex with visible eyes and an intact root system.
• Flowers the first season once nights stay above 60°F / 15°C.

How to start it

• Pot: 5–6 in / 13–15 cm terracotta. 50% cactus soil, 30% pumice, 20% coarse sand.
• Water: none for 7 days after potting, then soak and let it dry fully. Flat flowers hold water, so never spray the blooms.
• Light: 6+ hours of direct sun; the pink centre deepens with light.
• Cold: USDA 10–12; indoors above 50°F / 10°C.

Open-faced flowers last slightly less long than doubles — around 10 days each — but a healthy plant replaces them continuously. Ships dormant and bare-root, wrapped in dry sphagnum. 5–7 working days to dispatch, 8–25 working days in transit.
