Pastel Triad Desert Rose Bulbs
$16.44 – $49.32Price range: $16.44 through $49.32
Adenium obesum with a soft-focus palette: peach, lavender and cream doubles opening together on one plant. Pastel, never loud.
Adenium obesum — Pastel Triad. Where Tri-Colour Crown is the loud one, this is its quieter sibling: peach, lavender and cream doubles that open together but blend instead of contrast, so the plant reads like a watercolour rather than a bouquet. The caudex stays compact and the branching is naturally full, which is why this variety fills a wide bowl pot better than most.
What you get
- Dormant bare-root caudex with a naturally full branch structure, visible eyes and intact roots.
- Three pastel shades on one plant from the first proper flush.
- One plant per bulb ordered — order 2 and pair them in matching pots.
How to start it
- Pot: a wide bowl or bonsai dish with drainage suits the branching. 50% cactus soil, 30% pumice, 20% coarse sand.
- Water: dry for the first 7 days, then soak-and-dry cycles.
- Light: 6+ hours. Gentle morning sun plus bright afternoon keeps pastels soft.
- Cold: USDA 10–12 outdoors; elsewhere above 50°F / 10°C.
Pastels wash toward cream in strong sun and deepen in cooler weeks — expect the balance to move through the season. Ships dormant and bare-root, wrapped in dry sphagnum. 5–7 working days to dispatch, 8–25 working days in transit.
