Adenium obesum — Blush Trumpet. The classic adenium silhouette done properly: five-petal funnel blooms in a soft blush pink with a gentle ruffle to the edge, carried on a caudex that lifts its surface roots like a sculpture. This is the shape most people picture when they think desert rose, and it delivers it without fuss — early to flower, easy to keep, and tolerant of the occasional missed watering.

What you get

• Dormant bare-root caudex with exposed-root character, visible eyes and a full root system.
• Flowers the first season once nights stay above 60°F / 15°C.

How to start it

• Pot: terracotta, one size up from the roots. 50% cactus soil, 30% pumice, 20% coarse sand.
• Water: none for the first 7 days, then soak and let it dry out completely.
• Light: 6+ hours of direct sun for the best bloom count.
• Cold: USDA 10–12 outdoors; elsewhere keep above 50°F / 10°C.

Funnel singles open flatter than doubles — more of them at once is the trade, and it is a good one. Ships dormant and bare-root, wrapped in dry sphagnum. 5–7 working days to dispatch, 8–25 working days in transit.
