Lagoon Duet Desert Rose Bulbs

Adenium obesum — Lagoon Duet. One plant, three tones: the oldest flower on each cluster fades to pale sky blue, the newest opens deep azure, and a violet one sits between them. It is not a mix of plants — the colour shift happens as each flower ages, so at any moment the cluster runs light to dark. On a compact caudex with a single clean trunk.

What you get

• Dormant bare-root caudex with a single clean trunk and a full root system.
• Flowers the first season once nights stay above 60°F / 15°C.
• One plant per bulb ordered — multi-packs are separate caudexes, each showing the same colour shift.

How to start it

• Pot: 5–6 in / 13–15 cm terracotta. 50% cactus soil, 30% pumice, 20% coarse sand.
• Water: dry for 7 days, then soak-and-dry cycles. Let the pot get light before watering again.
• Light: 6+ hours. The three-tone effect is strongest in bright, warm conditions.
• Cold: USDA 10–12; indoors above 50°F / 10°C, watering sparingly through winter.

All three tones appear on their own as flowers age — there is nothing to do to trigger it. Ships dormant and bare-root, wrapped in dry sphagnum. 5–7 working days to dispatch, 8–25 working days in transit.
