Azure Lace Desert Rose Bulbs

Adenium obesum — Azure Lace. Four open doubles and a fat bud on a plant barely a foot tall: azure blue with a fine gold line tracing each petal, and a tight spiral centre. Of the three blues here this one flowers heaviest relative to its size, which makes it the sensible choice for a kitchen windowsill or a small balcony pot.

What you get

• Dormant bare-root caudex with a compact trunk and clean roots.
• Flowers the first season once nights stay above 60°F / 15°C.
• One plant per bulb ordered — multi-packs ship as separate plants.

How to start it

• Pot: 4–5 in / 10–13 cm is enough — a slightly tight pot encourages flowering. 50% cactus soil, 30% pumice, 20% coarse sand.
• Water: none for 7 days, then soak-and-dry. In a small pot that means roughly weekly in summer.
• Light: 6+ hours. The gold edge needs direct sun to show; behind glass it fades.
• Cold: USDA 10–12; indoors above 50°F / 10°C.

Blue tones are the most temperature-sensitive in the range and can open slate-grey in a cold snap — they colour up as the season warms. Ships dormant and bare-root, wrapped in dry sphagnum. 5–7 working days to dispatch, 8–25 working days in transit.
