Orchid & Blush Duo Amaryllis Bulbs — Violet and Soft Pink
$30.99 – $95.99Price range: $30.99 through $95.99
Violet and blush in the same pot — the softest pairing here, and the safest gift of the mixed sets.
The pairing that flatters a room instead of taking it over. A violet with a white star at the center and a blush pink that fades to cream at the rim: both cool, both soft, and both willing to sit in a pale room without arguing with the furniture. If you are sending flowers to someone whose taste you do not know, this is the one.
What you get
- One bulb of each colorway on a two-count order, scaled up for larger counts.
- 26/28 cm bulbs, two stems each, four to six blooms per stem.
- Assorted at packing, not chosen at checkout.
Planting
- Pot: a 6–7 in pot per bulb, two-thirds soil, one-third bulb above the rim — amaryllis sulk when they are buried.
- Water: soak once at planting, then keep the mix just damp. Wet soil around the bulb is the usual reason a big bulb never opens.
- Light: Bright, indirect light suits both — a south or west window, or a grow light for 12 hours a day.
- Root in the dark first: 2–3 weeks in a cool, darkish room gets roots down before the stem runs up.
- Stake it early. A double this heavy leans, and it will not straighten again once the flowers open.
- Both fade in direct afternoon sun; a north-east window holds the color longest.
After the flowers
- Both rebloom more reliably than the dark doubles if given light through summer.
- Cut the stems for a vase at bud stage and both open indoors.
Bulbs ship dormant and firm, 26/28 cm around, boxed to protect the nose. Orders leave in 5–7 working days; 8–25 working days in transit. Petal color shifts a little with light and temperature — the cooler the room, the deeper the bloom.
